LANGUAGE ONION

Language Onion was originally going to be called 'Language Union'. A pronunciation error from a co-founder of the site, who is Chinese, resulted in the name Language Onion.

This website is designed to teach you the basics of a large number of languages. You will be presented with a list of useful vocabulary under different headings (such as food, clothes, etc.) along with phonetic pronunciation. You should say these words out loud and repeat to try and learn them better. There will also be some basic grammar tips. After that, you will be able to watch a video clip of onions conversing in the language (voiced by native speakers) using vocabulary you have just learned.
